But the ultimate app would be one that just zaps the calories out of you! I'd settle for the workout fairy.

Smart toothbrush?
Send the toothbrushing data to your dentist and brace yourself for a whole new level of lecturing! Yikes.

Re: Smart toothbrush?
@Laurianne at our practice, it's the hygenist who gives the lecture, and which one you get depends on which one cleans your teeth. Some stress flossing, some rinsing with specific rinses at specific times, etc.

Gluten Guidance
Several friends have recently been diagnosed as gluten intolerant and apps like MyFitnessPal and Fooducate will really help them adjust their diets. Are there any apps out there specifically for those following gluten-free diets, I wonder?

Good and bad?
I've tried a similar sleep cycle app, though I'm not sure it worked very well. The heart rate one seems interesting -- I wonder how well it works. Has anyone tried these others?

May get a few of these
Some of these apps look very interesting, but when people start posting their pulses on Facebook, I think we've gone too far.

The sleep one interested me, too -- although I don't really need an app to tell me I don't sleep well!

Re: May get a few of these
Agree! Some friends post their weight losses and that's getting to be a bit much. If they add their pulses (how many times a day would they do that!), it would border on the obsessive! However, these apps are a great tool if you're coping with a high or low pulse rate or need to monitor your heartbeat for some other reason. Just don't share the results!

IT's Reputation: What the Data Says
InformationWeek's IT Perception Survey seeks to quantify how IT thinks it's doing versus how the business really views IT's performance in delivering services - and, more important, powering innovation. Our results suggest IT leaders should worry less about whether they're getting enough resources and more about the relationships they have with business unit peers.
