Surfacfe Pro 2 does not survive dropping contrary to manufacturer claims
This is entirely inconsistent with my experience.

I purchased a Surface Pro 2 in December 2013. The unit was dropped in the box on the store floor before I even left the store. I was assured by a sales person who was supposedly "Microsoft Surface Certified", that the unit was not damaged. Within a month the unit had locked up and I could not get it to boot. This may or may not have been related to the drop. I exchanged the origina Surface Pro 2 for another. I never take the Surface Pro 2 tablet out of the house. I handle it very carefully. No problems were encountered until it dropped 2 feet from a couch onto a wood floor (not over cement). Immediately after this the touch screen responds to touch only sporadically. In general the touch screen is more sensitive to touch than the right side of the screen. I cannot state confidentially to anyone that the Surface Pro 2 system is drop resilient.

We're seeing new titles in this digital revolution, new responsibilities, new business models, and major shifts in technology spending.
