Isn't that what StartPage does for a while already? They act as proxy and take the search terms and pass them on to Google while delivering the results back.

We used to call it shareware.

Does this vendor follow the NPR model or periodically reminding you that you ought to pay to support the product, even if it doesn't force you to do so? Nagging is one way to get what you want, as my kids can attest.

Pay what you want pricing?
I was surprised to find Disconnect insisting that a meaningful number people will pay for pay-what-you-want software. Has anyone else tried that pricing strategy?
