re: Google Donates Chromebooks To Wounded Warriors
What a great gesture by Google -- 600 laptops will make a huge difference to our wounded vets!

I hope the facilities involved have considered how they will secure, recharge, wipe the devices clean when not in use and distribute and track the devices as this can be a huge amount of work for staff. One great option would be automated laptop dispensing stations by LaptopsAnytime -- see www.laptopsanytime.com.

In any case, this is truly an awesome program in the making. Kudos to all the Google people involved including all the volunteers who are leading the program!

InformationWeek's IT Perception Survey seeks to quantify how IT thinks it's doing versus how the business really views IT's performance in delivering services - and, more important, powering innovation. Our results suggest IT leaders should worry less about whether they're getting enough resources and more about the relationships they have with business unit peers.
