Next up for Lion OS: Full screen applications, which will become the standard method for developers. With a swipe gesture, users can return to the desktop, and then switch back to your full screen application. The standard Apple apps(Safari, Garage Band, iPhoto, etc.) will be full screen out of the box. Via Mission Control, everything is presented in a unified single view. All of your Spaces sit on the top of the screen, and it includes one just for your Dashboard widgets.
