If you want your router to handle backup as well, pick up the Time Capsule instead of an Airport Extreme. In addition to being a dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi base station like the Airport Extreme, the Time Capsule has a terabyte or two of storage all ready to work with OS X's Time Machine automatic backup utility.
