Mobile and iPhone application developer Apperian has hired industry veteran David Patrick as CEO to lead the firm as it seeks to grow its business-to-consumer and business-to-employee business. Most recently, Patrick was CEO of enterprise database virtualization software company Xkoto, which was acquired by Teredata earlier this year. Patrick has also been vice president and general manager of Novell's $450 million SUSE Linux and Netware operation.
