Cost is probably its biggest obstacle, but I can see dedicated gamers investing in it if games do take off.

Unless the likely cost of google glass comes down drastically, it's hard to believe that gaming will be the killer app that brings the device into the forefront. I can't help imagining it will be people doing highly complex, high value tasks that can be expedited by a hands-free, highly malleable source of information with instantaneous access. Then, just as missiles brought down the cost of IC's, google glass, too, might be cheap enough, and further along on its maturity curve to be adapted by the gamers.

All for it
Augmented and VR games are coming in a big way over the next couple of years, so developments like this will certainly help improve the current cnicken/egg scenario the tech is currently in. Might help bring some more titles to the Oculus Rift platform too.
