Duolingo and Uber get my vote
Out of all of these, I think I'll download Duolingo -- for Spanish and German translation -- and Uber, for hailing cabs and private drivers. Last time I was in San Francisco it started raining and the cab lines at hotels were out the door. Could have used a private driver to get to the airport ontime.

I love the Pocket app -- great for those in-between moments like when you're at the doctor's office and want to catch up on articles you've saved for later.
