Partner with Oracle. It will never happen, of course. There's too much bad blood between the companies. But given Oracle's successful appeal in Oracle v. Google, Google has some incentive to cut a deal rather than gamble by taking the case to the Supreme Court. Google's replacement of Android's Dalvik virtual machine with its new ART runtime shows the company doesn't see a place for Oracle in Android, but there might be a way to cut Oracle in and leverage its enterprise ties.
The more likely scenario will be further tightening Android's security model, pushing Knox, and striking inconsequential deals with large enterprise companies like SAP. With Apple turtled up to protect its enterprise share while the world goes Android, Google knows time is on its side.
