Why Mobility Managers Deserve A Seat At The Table

It's not just a couple of VPs sharing a cellphone anymore. You need a dedicated mobility manager equipped to oversee your valuable hodgepodge of mobile devices and data.

Mobility time
As far as a team, I'm not sure what the tipping point is on having a named mobility manager, but it doesn't take too many employees with multiple devices before mobility management takes up a considerable amount of time. We've got three people in IT who work with mobility, from provisioning to support to invoicing. None of them are full-time on that task, but it does start to add up. We have 150 staff with a little more than 2 devices per staff member on average.
