The optimized Android tablet apps have improved over the past year, but there's still a lot of room for improvement, and we need a lot more of them.

Many of these apps are just as good on smart phones, and translate well to tablets. I would swap out my favorite weather app, WeatherBug Elite, for The Weather Channel's app, but otherwise I largely agree with many of the selections.
