Wi-Fi lets you chat on the phone and explore the Internet without using minutes or bandwidth from your data plan. Now you can search for Internet connections using the Wi-Fi Finder for iOS and Android (also free). The app displays a map of your surrounding area with colored arrows that indicate free wireless hotspots. Press each to discover a hotspot's address, phone number, Wi-Fi signal strength and SSID name. The app includes over 145,000 global locations and lets you contribute information.

re: 13 Favorite iOS, Android Apps
HopStop seems to be for iOS only. Can't find it on Google Play.

I found the Transit App though. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thetransitapp.droid). It looks similar to HopStop. Already downloaded it.

I'd like to add WebSharingLite for Android (https://play.google.com/stor/ap/details?id=nextapp.websharing&hl=en). A nice little gem that lets you download or upload files to your device thru a WiFi connection. You know, in case you can't find the cable.

I can personally attest to HopStop's ability to get you from point A to point B. It is pretty accurate and is a must have for city dwellers or those who frequently travel.
