Apple WWDC: 17 Cool Innovations

Apple unveiled useful tweaks and new ideas at its Worldwide Developer Conference. Take a peek at our favorites, from MacBook Pro to iOS 6.

This bit of news was unexpected. Apple has created a central location to store and manage passes and tickets--say for flights, or drinks (think Starbucks and other retailers that offer digital-based shopping certificates and coupons). Apple demonstrated a real-time update to a mobile boarding pass when the flight's gate had changed. Passbook even works from the lock screen and sends notifications. All of this acts as a handy way to manage all of these in-app items. And Apple has given developers the tools to integrate Passbook into their applications.

re: Apple WWDC: 17 Cool Innovations
Can you please stop using the world "Blitz". It is short for "Blitzkrieg", the propaganda name for multiple heinous attacks by Nazi Germany on its neighboring countries. The English language is so rich in words that you do not have to fall back on Nazi jargon to make a point. How uneducated are the folks allowed to be who write, edit, and publish such articles?

Do you know what isn't an Innovation? A really annoying slide show on a website in 2012. Come on Info Week. Stop this childish design so maybe somebody will want to read the content!

re: Apple WWDC: 17 Cool Innovations
This title is a little misleading.

The only innovation I found in this article was the Passbook feature.
