Apple's long-awaited A6 SoC (system on chip) processor will power the iPhone 5, according to numerous reports. The A6 is a quad-core CPU, a component that is quickly becoming commonplace on many high-end smartphones, such as LG's new Optimus G. The iPhone 5 would be the first Apple product to use the rumored A6. The 3rd-generation iPad, for instance, uses Apple's A5X, a dual-core chip with quad-core graphics.
