CouponCodes4u.com surveyed 2,371 smartphone-owning consumers between the ages of 18 and 35. Those surveyed all use smartphones every day, whether for work or personal needs. According to CouponCodes4u.com, 39% of the polled own iPhones, 31% own an Android smartphone, and 29% own a BlackBerry smartphone.
When asked about the Lumia 920, 52% said they'd skip it; but 35% said they'd jump on it. If you count the swing vote--the 13% who said their decision to buy the Lumia 920 would depend on the price--you're left with a statistical dead heat: 52% against, 48% for.
What's the Lumia 920 got going for it? Plenty, it turns out.
Stunningly, 52% said the PureView Picture System was a big draw. (Apparently these people have completely missed the scandal that exploded over the Lumia 920's camera prowess.)

Nearly all the polled, 87%, said the Lumia 920 appears to be "a big improvement" over the Lumia 900. Further, 65% said they were "impressed" with the specs of the Lumia 920. The 920 has a 4.5-inch HD display, dual-core processors, 8-megapixel camera, NFC, and other high-end features.
Of those consumers who indicated interest in purchasing the Lumia 920, 61% were jazzed by "being able to operate the Nokia device while wearing gloves." Most touchscreen devices cannot be used while wearing gloves. Glove makers offer touchscreen-compatible gloves, but they are still clumsy to use (at least in my experience).
Other features of the Lumia 920 that caught the eye of survey participants: 47% liked the PureMotion HD display; 40% liked the wireless inductive charging; 35% liked the ClearBlack display technology; 33% said they liked the multiple colors; while 27% were impressed with the offline maps functionality.
"With no less than six brand new phone devices scheduled to be released in the next couple of months, consumers are quite spoiled for choice in terms of phone spec, design, and branding," wrote Mark Pearson, chairman of CouponCodes4u.com. "The latest offering from the Nokia team looks quite promising and should be an interesting alterative to Android and Apple run devices."
Nokia hasn't announced pricing nor availability of the Lumia 920 yet, but it is expected to arrive in early November.
