Rumor: iPhone Will Allow Tethering

An apparently legitimate e-mail from Steve Jobs says that Apple is in discussion with AT&T about allowing computers to use a "tethered" iPhone to get wireless Internet access.A Gizmodo reader wrote to Steve Jobs pointing out that the iPhone does not allow tethering, while the BlackBerry does (with an additional charge from AT&T). An e-mailed reply from "Steve" and claiming to be sent from an iPhone says simply, "We agree, and are discussing it with ATT."Gizmodo
