Three-in-One: HP Color LaserJet CM1017

Long the 500-pound gorilla looming over the printing market, HP shows no signs of relinquishing the role of market leader. With the cost of laser printers dropping like a stone, HP is bringing its experience in enterprise printing to products designed for smaller businesses and even home users. The Color LaserJet CM1017 has the serious look of an office printer and delivers top-notch print quality, albeit at a very slow pace per page. The built-in media slots and support for photo printing make this an appealing option for companies that bring promotional and presentation materials. Unlike most entries in the multifunction milieu, HP skipped the fax functionality entirely and the scan quality won't turn any heads.
