A number of Disruptive Technology Portfolio stocks saw significant gains in the week--12 grew more than 5%, and six grew more than 10%. The biggest upside mover was WebEx Communications, with a 27% jump.

The surge came after WebEx, a Web conferencing application and services provider, reported strong fourth-quarter results. Revenue of $102 million was up 22% over the same quarter last year, and earnings per share increased 43% to 42 cents.

A number of factors drove the strong results, including revenue from subscription and usage fees, accelerated growth of the core collaboration applications (21% year over year), and good execution in Europe (54% year- over-year growth). WebEx's business was healthy across all of its units, and this gave investors more confidence about its growth potential.

Overall, the Disruptive Technology Portfolio grew 1.4% last week, compared with the S&P 500, which was up 0.8%. Twenty-two DTP stocks advanced, while six declined, and one was flat.
