Tech News: It's All A Joke
IT leaders are funny--even when they don't mean to be.For each episode of Valley View, our monthly live Web TV show, we like to start out with a little bit of a news update...complete with sarcasm and cheap shots, because there's nothing worse than an industry that takes itself too seriously.
In our most recent episode, we covered everything from Foxconn chief Terry Gou comparing his workforce to animals, to the Megaupload shutdown, to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer's final CES keynote, and a few more things in between.
You can watch the quick segment in the video embedded below. And you can stay abreast of the next episode of Valley View, on February 16, 2012 at 4 p.m. Pacific, and register here for a chance to win some nifty gadgets.
More than 700 IT pros gave us an earful on database licensing, performance, NoSQL, and more. That story and more--including a look at transitioning to Win 8--in the new all-digital Database Discontent issue of InformationWeek. (Free registration required.)
