Eliyon Networking (networking .eliyon.com) is a free service available to job seekers, helping them look up former co-workers who might be helpful for finding new jobs. Some companies (particularly consulting firms that want their alums to become clients) run their own alumni sites. But the Eliyon database claims to hold profiles of 15 million business and middle-level executives by electronically searching sources such as Securities and Exchange Commission filings and news reports. The big question: Is it that much better than a Google search?
