State Grooms Workers To Lure Business

Ohio officials are using E-learning in an effort to create more jobs.

When the manufacturing industry began to dry up in Ohio, the Buckeye State decided to attract businesses from the tech industry with the lure of freshly trained tech-savvy workers. Ohio is partnering with several E-learning vendors and local colleges to offer online training and skills assessment for residents and area businesses. The SkillsMax training program will be offered at community colleges and universities in Ohio, starting this month. There are plans to extend SkillsMax to other states.
