Installing and managing virtual private networks isn't easy, but security vendor Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. says it's making the job less of a challenge. Its Next Generation Feature Pack 1 touts one-click technologies that create interconnected VPNs. IT managers can automate the deployment of VPNs by creating traffic rules and properties for each gateway, assigning the rules to a VPN community, and connecting disparate locations in a single click. Says Gartner security analyst John Pescatore, "Check Point has taken a step that makes it easier for their customers to manage their products."
