The company yesterday unveiled BuySite 6.0, the latest
version of its procurement application. BuySite 6.0 provides
international users with desktop access to content on the
company's Global Trading Web, which is composed of vertical
and regional marketplace portals running on the CommerceOne
MarketSite Platform, and includes contributions from
customers and partners, including Booz, Allen & Hamilton;
BT; Cable & Wireless Optus; Pitney Bowes; and Singapore
Telecommunications.
BuySite 6.0 is designed to process transactions in English,
French, German, and Japanese, as well as all major world
currencies and conversions, including the euro. Support for
international tax requirements and regional business laws is
also included. CommerceOne also said yesterday it would add
auction capabilities to the MarketSite.net business-to-
business E-commerce portal through a partnership with
Internet trading applications vendor TradingDynamics. Pricing on BuySite 6.0 will range from $500,000 to $2.5
million, while Commerce One will charge posting and
transaction fees for the MarketSite.net auction services.
Both will be available in the fourth quarter.
