Another sector with an almost universal focus (90%) on global supply chains finds almost 50% of the responding companies also looking externally to creating new products and services for customers. Not surprisingly, the electronics industry displays a healthy interest in using state-of-the-art technologies, including wireless e-mail, BI tools, Linux, and SOA. The one glaring hole is encryption of customers' records, but more than 70% are experimenting with it.
