SCO Tells IBM To Pay Up




The SCO Group last week filed a $1 billion lawsuit against IBM for allegedly leaking SCO's proprietary Unix technology to the open-source community. SCO has owned the rights to the Unix operating system since 1995. "This case is not about proprietary versus open-source software models," says SCO CEO Darl McBride. "This case is not about the Linux community or us going after them. This is about contractual violations that IBM has made and that we're going to enforce."
