MeetMeNow, which costs $49 per month ($39 monthly in a special launch offer), lets a user conduct an unlimited number of online meetings with as many as 10 attendees who share a PC desktop, and can run applications or view documents designated by the coordinator.
"WebEx has historically focused on providing collaboration applications to large enterprises," said Roopam Jain, an analyst at Frost and Sullivan, in a statement. "[It's] now bringing its proven technologies to the individual user market."
WebEx on Tuesday also launched PCNow, a remote access subscription service that lets a user view and access all information on a remote PC, transfer files to and from that machine, and print documents at either the remote site or locally. Initially dubbed MyWebExPC when it debuted in January, PCNow costs $14.95 monthly, although a special introductory price of $9.95 a month is available
MeetMeNow and PCNow require a Windows-based PC running IE, Netscape, Firefox, or Mozilla.
