Nokia Expands Reach

Nokia wants to be more than just your cell phone provider. The world's No. 1 cell phone maker has 750 companies worldwide training as partners that can provide products and services to businesses deploying mobile devices, infrastructure, and apps. They're experts in mobile device management, security, voice capabilities, and wireless e-mail services, among other areas.

Businesses buying mobile devices and using mobile apps need this sort of help, Nokia says. John Mason, VP of global channels at Nokia's Enterprise Solutions group, says having an integrator or a security expert on hand helps make mobile deployments less overwhelming for IT departments.
