Oracle Keeps Spending

Oracle's shopping spree continued last week when it snapped up Thor Technologies Inc., a developer of cross-platform provisioning tools, and OctetString Inc., a supplier of virtual directory software. The acquisitions strengthen Oracle's identity-management and access-management software portfolio, which includes the vendor's acquisition of ID-management software developer Oblix Inc. in March, and provides a security backbone for its Fusion line of middleware.
