Perot Systems' first-quarter revenue rose 4% to $338 million compared with the same period last year. But the IT services company posted a loss of $12.7 million due to a change in the way it records income from contracts. Perot says it booked $752 million in new contracts during the period, though commercial outsourcing revenue fell 7% from a year ago. President and CEO Ross Perot Jr. blames the shortfall on "broad economic weakness."
