Here is a collection of resources, thoughts, and articles collected by InformationWeek editors. Make a difference today.

Talking It Out
The attacks on Sept. 11 have affected each of us deeply. We've all worried about security, the effect on the economy, the balance between privacy and security, and other business matters. Also, the recent events have taken an emotional toll; there rarely seems to be a place where it's comfortable to talk about it.

As a result, we've provided a Listening Post discussion forum just for the matters raised here. Discuss your personal experiences, tell us about your memories of the event, tell us what you think of the articles we include in this (long) list, tell us about worthy articles we missed, or write tributes to people you knew. Join us in the Sept. 11 Forum.

Other Coverage
InformationWeek editors have pulled together a list of terrific stories about Sept. 11 attacks and the aftermath, including articles about heroic deeds and people. Some of the stories are IT-related. Let us know if you find any other interesting ones too by posting links in our Listening Post.

Plenty of urban legends have sprung up regarding the tragedy, as summarized in a CNN article, 9/11, True And False. If you want to keep up to date on such things, also check out http://www.snopes.com.

The Times (of London) published a global breakdown of those who perished in the World Trade Center disaster--i.e. how many people from other countries are missing or dead.

One worthwhile story--with an IT component--is CNN's We The Living: One Company That Made It, a personal anecdote from an IT company that successfully escaped the World Trade Center. One employee had the presence of mind to grab the backup tapes. Check out the results of the poll, which asked readers how likely they would have been to grab the tapes.

This site compiles links to several Flash infographics related to the tragedy, such as an animation from Clarin (in Buenos Aires) showing the scale of the World Trade Center to tallest building in Buenos Aires.

This company Web site offers a nice memorial to three employees who were visiting clients at the World Trade Center on Sept.11 and remain missing. A pop-up box shows their pictures and has a list of resources.
