Modern Enterprise Apps
The Baby Boomers -- the PC generation -- are retiring. The Facebook generation is starting to take over. Enterprise application vendors are well aware of this demographic shift. The look and feel and usability of their apps need to keep up. Workday seems to be out front in this regard.

Needed in SaaS: Frequent updates
By incorproating an agile development approach, Workday may only be doing what Salesforce.com already does, but it's going to be ahead of vendors who use SaaS as a secondary market. By using a test and release approach for new features, it will introduce individual features with greater frequency, rather than waiting for a feature set and as major update announcement. Agile is the way of the future, if you can adapt to continuous updates.
