LogiXML improves the abiltiy of Logi 8 to export data to Microsoft Excel.
LogiXML on Wednesday launched an upgrade of its business intelligence platform, improving the software's ability to export data to Microsoft Excel.
Logi 8, which debuted in January, offers corporate reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting for non-technical users and other BI data services. Version 8.1 offers almost a dozen significant enhancements to the Web-based platform.
The upgrade improves integration with Excel by allowing users to export images, time and dates, and various formulas, including totals and multiple data tables. Data can be exported to multiple worksheets.
Other key improvements include more flexibility in how report parameters appear when users run ad hoc reports. In addition, the new version provides detailed event logging, and full support for building and delivering reports on live data in Microsoft Word.
There are also drill-down and drill-through OLAP capabilities, and the ability to select multiple OLAP dimensions and measures at once, as well as apply groupings to measures for easier viewing. The company has also added centralized metadata change management that allows organizations to update and synchronize shared reporting objects in ad hoc reporting metadata.
The upgrade is available immediately. Pricing was not disclosed.
The Agile ArchiveWhen it comes to managing data, donít look at backup and archiving systems as burdens and cost centers. A well-designed archive can enhance data protection and restores, ease search and e-discovery efforts, and save money by intelligently moving data from expensive primary storage systems.
