An Easier Way to Run Windows Remotely
When employees run Windows at home, they're not running YOUR version of Windows. And that's a recipe for unwanted support calls when, say, a manager stuck at home during a snowstorm can't access his office files. Microsoft's solution is
Windows To Go, a new feature in Windows 8 that allows an enterprise to put a full version of Windows on a USB drive and run it on an unmanaged host, such as worker's home desktop, or the laptop of a contractor working temporarily in the office.
Windows To Go eliminates the need for end users to install remote access software on their PCs, or for contractors to fuss with network settings to log into your network. Another security plus: Enterprise data is stored on the USB drive, not on the user's PC.
