Not a fan of the Pinterest Promotions tab
I actually like how Gmail separates marketing emails and promotions from my other stuff, but I'm not a fan of the Pinterest-esque potential design of that tab. My email isn't something that I like to browse -- I prefer to just get in, read what I need, delete what I don't, and move on.

Promotions, ugh
It looks like Google wants to turn Gmail into Ginterest. I for one will continue to make sure images do no load by default. In fact, it's probably time to start using the Promotions tab as a list of future unsubscribe actions.
