Community manager feedback, please?
All the time I was running The BrainYard / InformationWeek Social Business, I wished we could have a more inviting website for community participation. I'd be interested in the feedback of my #socbiz / #cmtymgr friends on the changes to InformationWeek.

We've definitely got move activity -- now, we need to make it last.

When does social net signify nothing?
The social network in business, like anywhere else, is valuable when it makes somethng that might be difficult to access more readily available. It's at its best when it amplifies something that's real -- relationships, information -- and helps them become more effective within the culture. But if relationships are poor or non-existent, and the business is conflicted by being committed to too many goals, it becomes a chatterbox, full sound and worry, signifying not so much.
