It certainly has. Having "grown up" with these websites, I can't imagine how difficult -- and daunting -- managing your settings would feel to an unfamiliar user just starting out.

This is really useful stuff. I think that LinkedIn is a powerful tool, and sometimes its array of features and settings can be baffling. It seems as though LinkedIn is more complex than Facebook. That makes sense to some degree, though, since it is for professional networking while Facebook is more about general socialization.

Good info. But sadly, managing the settings on social media sites seems to have become a full-time occupation.

Oh, those random endorsements. A pox on them! They're simultaneously annoying and guilt-inducing as you feel obligated to respond in kind.

Good tips
I've found a lot of things about LinkedIn to be annoying, especially the activity broadcasts and random endorsements, so I really appreciate the guidance here. Still, it's kind of frustrating that users have to go through these extra steps to protect their privacy.
