Re: To many "cute kitty" posts
There really should be a "hide all cat pictures" option. Especially if you are a dog person :)

Re: To many "cute kitty" posts
@Gary_EL: You've got too many cats, I've got too many babies. If you do hide people from your feed, keep a mental note of who you've hidden. I made the mistake in 2008 when the Patriots lost to the Giants in the Superbowl when I hid a bunch of gloating NYG fans. :-) Couldn't remember who I hid, and combing through my friends list was just too tedious.

Re: To many "cute kitty" posts
@gary_EL I am often tempted to unfollow those who post too many cutesy pictures, whether of animals or kids or food. But I try to overcome that temptation, as some of those are my relatives. One other thing that gets me is the repeated requests for game participation despit my having checked that I don't want any and having posted status updates to that effect.

To many "cute kitty" posts
Thanks for this info. I have one Facebook friend, unemployed, who is a cat-lover with nothing better to do than post about 100 pictures of adorable cats a day. Now, I like kitties, but enough is enough! Unfriending her would be an unkind thing to do, but using this technique, I can keep my feed from being overwhelmed. Thanks!

Social is a Business Imperative
The use of social media for a host of business purposes is rising. Indeed, social is quickly moving from cutting edge to business basic. Organizations that have so far ignored social - either because they thought it was a passing fad or just didnít have the resources to properly evaluate potential use cases and products - must start giving it serious consideration.
