LinkedIn Faces Lawsuit Over Privacy Violation

US federal judge orders LinkedIn to face a lawsuit that claims the social network sent emails to users' contacts without their consent.

^^Exactly. And if you're worried that you may have given LinkedIn access to your entire address book, you can follow the instructions in this article to revoke it.

I think that when you go through these steps, as I have, and you are in a hurry you can sometimes get a bit confused. The ability to mass email contacts from LinkedIn is probably an option that should really be removed. 

I get that the company is trying to gain users, because without them LinkedIn doesn't have a business model. But alienating existing users doesn't work well either.
