The suite comprises Trilogy Content Server, to classify sales and marketing content; Merchandising Server, to segment customers for advertising and cross-selling; Personalization Server, to tailor customer information; Sales Server, to offer catalogs and product configurations; Customer Server, to track customer care across channels; Order Server, to integrate sales with back-office payment and enterprise resource planning systems; and Extranet Server, to let partners and resellers access customer information.
The package supports Trilogy's recent strategy to start offering full application suites, says Liz Shahnam, a Meta Group analyst. "They're smart in realizing that they need to move into applications, as opposed to tools," she says. "Their technology is a lot more interesting with applications layered on top." Trilogy's Multichannel Commerce 2.0, available immediately, is priced starting at $1 million.
