Managemark To Offer Sun's StarOffice To ASP Its Customers

Managemark, an application service provider formerly knownas On The Go, next week will disclose a deal with Sun Microsystems, giving Managemark customers access to Sun's StarOffice productivity suite. Managemark will integrate StarOffice with its online Expensable.com financial applications.

Sun and Managemark will launch a joint marketing campaign in the first quarter to promote Expensable.com as an integrated expense-management application for StarOffice E-business portals. Managemark hopes the deal will attract 100,000 new subscribers to the software.

Under the terms of the agreement, Managemark will use Sun's Solaris platform as its primary development and deployment platform for future hosted E-business applications. The company has also become part of the Sun Developer Connection program. Managemark is using the Sun Startup Essentials program to develop new E-business applications.

Managemark's Expensable.com applications are accessed via a browser using a log-in name and password. The financial application can handle expense reports, time sheets, best practices, and accounts payable and receivables. The combined service costs $5 per month per user.
