Web-Services Tools For Rent

Avanade Inc., a joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture, this week will unveil a hosted service that will let corporate software developers using Microsoft's .Net architecture access Web-services programming tools with a browser. Avanade's pitch: Many companies don't need a full-blown internal Web-services development environment, and using such tools on a hosted basis is cheaper and faster. Customers will pay a fixed fee based on their requirements.
