What is all of this talk about losing and replacing jobs with Technology Advances? What do you think has been going on since the invention of the Cotton Gin? Typical nerd naivete. Sheeeeesh.

New York-Presbyterian: Up Next
Talked with some of the IT leaders from New York-Presbyterian at the InformationWeek conference last week; they recently did a hackathon to come up with even more things to do with the tablets and software-- including a special interface for pediatric patients in the hospital.

The new technology eliminates many jobs but also create new positions. Few years back we have not heard about the position like "Big-Data Architect", "Cloud computing developers". But indeed the new tech eliminates traditional jobs and create new ones with more demanding requirements.

I'm just wondering how many people lost their jobs because they got replaced by technology? I just hope that it creates more jobs than it takes away...
