Control Presentations: Keynote Remote
It may seem like killing flies with a sledgehammer to control your Keynote presenations through your iPhone -- after all, there are plenty of wireless presentation mice available.
But the
Keynote Remote($.99) app gives you the freedom to walk around the room that you get from a wireless mouse, but also the information about your presentation that you get from staying near your laptop. For example, if you hold your iPhone in portrait orientation, it displays the current slide and the speaker's notes that go with it. Turn the phone to landscape view, and you see both the current slide and the next one. Being able to check your notes and monitor the flow of slides are a big help in keeping your presentation on track. You can also, of course, pause the presentation from the phone or move ahead or back.
Note that Keynote Remote works only with Keynote, a Mac-only presentation package. PowerPoint users are out of luck.
