When the iPhone 4 was introduced in June, buyers soon started complaining about reception problems. As it turned out, they had a point: it was easy to hold the phone in such a way that your hand bridged the two antennas that encircle the case. "Antennagate" generated a lot of attention and even threats of lawsuits, all of which led to a special press conference in which Steve Jobs argued that most smartphones had similar problems and that very few users had complained.
