We talked to Spigit CEO Paul Plushckell about Innovation Spigit, an Interop 2008 best of show winner with its web 2.0 collaboration technology for the enterprise. This software, which can be purchased as a SaaS platform or can run alongside other systems like Sharepoint or Jive, creates a sense of trust relationships and reputation building inside an enterprise. The promise is great: companies will be able to spot trends, spot hidden talent, spot innovation, make predictions. In this sense, the software creates data mining of social networks.
