Startup Richrelevance: A Next Gen Recommendation Engine

InformationWeek editor John Foloey talks to David Sellinger, the CEO and Co-Founder of Richrelevance, which makes a next generation recommendation engine/service. This is meant for E-commerce sites who want to build a personalized experience for shoppers with recommendations based on past history and history of shoppers like them. The common problem, Sellinger told us, is that current systems don't have a feedback loop (did people find it useful and did it increase the sales of the retailer). With this system, he claims, there's a constant learning going on. It uses a technology called Ensemble learning.
