Power and Resource Efficiency of Deduplication From EMC


InformationWeek Editor Art Wittmann talks to EMC about its new disk library products,which allow for deduplication. EMC talks in depth about how these new products not only increase utilization of archived and backed up data, but also lower power consumption thanks to lower energy 1 TB drives, the ability to automatically spin down drives and the elimination of redundant data sets.
