Overview: Online handwriting recognition is the recognition of handwriting that is obtained from the movements of the pen or a stylus when the writer writes on a pen-based interface. For small devices like PDAs, Digitizing Tablets etc. the speed of recognition is an important factor. The online handwriting technology has a lot of potential in India that has more than eighteen official languages. Tamil and Telugu are two major Indic scripts that have their origin in South India. This research paper presents the classification results on online Tamil and Telugu handwritten data.
