Overview: SOA can be categorized as various types based on the expansion stages which constitute allocation of responsibility between frontends and services of the applications. For example, application frontend owns most of the complexity and responsibility then it is a Fundamental SOA. However this fundamental SOA will be lacking all the features in a fully leveraged SOA. I am going to disuses more on the SOA types and its relevance in the maturity level towards architectural road map.
